Directly South of Bath, ME is Phippsburg. I explored the peninsula in a few different half-day trips to take my time and since there are so many pictures, had to split it up into a few posts. So, starting off with Hermit Island. This was a super cool campgrounds area right on the Eastern side of the bottom of the peninsula with a few beaches tucked away and tons of rocks to amble all over. The best time to go is in MAY when it’s warm enough to explore everything and enjoy the beach but EARLY enough to avoid the actual campers. You can’t even drive onto the campgrounds
